Nowadays people are becoming more health conscious.and have started to look for better alternatives for rice and wheat to reduce its daily consumption.Millets are the power house of fiber,calcium,minerals and iron.Start including millets in daily cooking. Have a happy and healthy life. Recipe of millet idly and dosa batter Ingredients 2cups of idly rice 1cup of little millet or samai 1cup of barnyard millet or kuthiravali 1cup of urad dal Method Wash and soak idly rice,urad dal, seperately and both the millets to gather for 2 to 3 hours. Grind urad dal first grind urad dal till it is fine paste and fluffy and light Then grind rice and millets to gather to a fine paste mix both urad dal and rice mixture to gather add salt Allow the batter to ferment over night.
